Let's Journey Together!

In 2012 my husband, son, and I moved from Indiana to the North Woods of Wisconsin as he had accepted a position as a Family Life Pastor at a church there.  Being a Family Life Pastor, he oversaw Children's, Youth, and Family Ministries at this church.

One thing to know about me is I love to volunteer, I have volunteered in many churches in both children and youth ministries and I wouldn't trade those experiences for anything.

The very first youth outing I attended at this new church, I met a young lady who became a big part of life for me in this season of life.  We hit it off right away and had many fun adventures, coffee dates, and long talks.

One such adventure was a trip to Noah's Ark Water Park in the Wisconsin Dells.  Allie and I were the only females to go on this trip, so we hung out the whole day.  Memories from that day include the car ride and her funny Allieisms, to her telling me to breathe on the Stingray water slide. (I don't like heights or water slides) but I did them with her and she took time to go on the lazy river with me. (which is much more my taste) to hanging out in the wave pool together, we just enjoyed this day and this journey together!

You see it is all about investment and the journey together!

Allie had cancer and lost that battle last year, today would have been her 25th birthday!  I know my Alliecat is in heaven with her Lord and Savior while we all wait to join her in that journey.  We miss your laughter and love for others.  Allie traveled to Haiti a couple of times and had such a love for ministering to others.  All of her friends and family knew that Allie would take any journey they needed her to take with them.

Insight for today: Don't miss out on the journey with others!  It's a gift that is too precious!
