Don’t forget “I love you”!
Legacy is a big, scary thing when you think about what your children, grandchildren and friends will think about you after you’re gone. What is the truth of the legacy you are currently leaving? I have been thinking about my grandparents and my parents a lot lately. I grew up only knowing my maternal grandparents. We lived most of our lives a long distance from Grandma and Grandpa, so that made the times we spent with them extra special. Visits to them resulted in money to go to the dime store, Grandma’s sugar cookies and Grandpa’s teasing. With those special treats and goodies came the biggest thing that is what I think of every time I think of them. Their love was so evident every day. See most of the time we would visit I got to sleep on the Davenport (sofa) in the living room and would wake up hearing Grandma and Grandpa in the kitchen.
