Pieces!
As I listened to a song this morning called Pieces, I was struck by how my life is made up of pieces.
I look at the people God has placed in my life and the pieces of me that they made an impact on. Each person has taught me something.
My husband who loves unconditionally and has a gentle kindness and so much wisdom to share. My father shared with me the gift of travel and what it means to be a dependable person. My mom was an amazing hostess and always welcomed people into our home. She was one of the wisest women I will ever know. My daughter taught me courage through her own courage. My son shows me the value of laughter and has the biggest heart. My sister is the person who can make anyone feel important, she is so loyal.
Friends like Chris, who help me come out of my shell and challenge me to always be a better person. Mary, who is always ready to have an adventure. Kelli, whose love and compassion come through her willingness to serve others. Linda, whose generosity and truth-telling make you want to be just like her. Marcy, whose leadership and value of others is amazing. Margie, whose creativity makes you want to dream big and use your own creativity. Melissa, whose heart is bigger than most, she is always taking care of others. Vanessa, always caring and checking on me. She has always made sure I felt included from the moment I met her.
As I am thinking of all those who impact me each and every day, I realized how blessed I am because the list of family, friends and co-workers is long.
Insight for today: Treasure my family, friends and co-workers and the pieces of my life that are impacted by the gifts of the interactions with these dear people!
