Obstacles!
Yesterday, I sat down to write and just couldn’t seem to land on anything! I felt like I was hitting my head against a wall. This morning I woke up with the thought of obstacles and what they look like and present themselves as.
When I was a teenager I was scared a lot of new people, new places and just being the new kid. Growing up we moved about every 3 years, so I was the new kid in school quite often, I remember that being terrifying and almost paralyzing me. One such memory was from my first day in high school, I was too scared to get out of the car and go into school. My mother was not having it on this morning, she got out from the drivers seat and walked around the car, opened the door pulled me out and got back in and drove away. I had no choice but to walk into school that day.
I realize that may seem extreme, but I needed the push. Today, I still get scared sometimes but I have learned the art of pushing through, thanks to my mom.
Insight for today: Continue to use that lesson of pushing through obstacles. I can’t wait to get on the other side of those obstacles!
