A Legacy of time and fun!
We moved to Wisconsin the summer before my son started his Freshman year in high school. This summer started a tradition for me and my son. We would go to an amusement park called Action City and spend one whole day just the two of us playing laser tag, riding go-karts, eating pizza and playing video games. We would do this the week before school started every year and even before he headed off to his Freshman year in college, we took this time. I wanted my son to know how much he mattered to me!
Now that my son is grown and living far away, I treasure these moments that we had together. Moments like this make for:
A Legacy of time and fun!
This legacy of time and fun are not just meant for family but also other relationships. Tonight I watched as a bunch of youth group leaders put this into practice. Through laughter, games, worship and a message the students were shown how much they matter to God and to the leaders.
Insight for today: To make the most of time and fun with those around me to show them they matter to me!
